Abstract: 
The paper describes several road trials where construction techniques were implemented to prevent reflective cracking. The road trials correspond to the construction of flexible composite pavements about ten years ago.

Construction materials and pavement structures are described. The plans for the monitoring of the long-term pavement performance is described and the results gathered during in-service are presented and discussed.
