Abstract: The aim of this research is to assess the durability of building components. A bibliographical study shows that existing approaches impose strict requirements on data format and quality as well as a strong knowledge of al1 causal chains, which are difficult to meet in buildings because of limited series, great variations in system structure and local environmental conditions. However, al1 these approaches produce valuable information that
should be used when trying to predict components' senlice life.
In this paper, we want to show how these information can be combined to provide the requested durability assessment.
