Abstract: The paper deals with problems of reliability support taking into account the European Codes on the examples of industrial buildings made of lightweight metal structures produced in the Ukraine.
The special attention is given to use of unconventional method of design of thin-wall bends and welded bends taking into account the character and intensity of corrosive attacks. The analytical relations between standard effect of corrosive environment, service life of protective coatings and reliability indices of thin-wall structure members are specified.
The task of corrosion resistance design according to limit States 1 group includes determination of corrosive fictitious loads, additional displacements and forces which occur as the result of structure and corrosive environment interaction. The structure of design operations cycle includes selection of design model of metal structure and corrosive environment interaction, substantiation of design case of object operation mode, construction
of design algorithm for corrosion resistance and life indices estimation.
The recommendations for rating of corrosion protection reliability coeficient Cm for thin-wall structure design according to limit state method are given. The problem of lightweight metal structures for corrosion resistance and life is formulated. The selection of design cases tabular models, which specify the interrelations between the indices of reliability, maintainability and life are developed. The practical examples of carried out designs for lightweight metal structures with thin-wall members are represented.
