Abstract: Chloride ion activity coefficients have been determined by potentiometric measurements and calculated through Pitzer’s model in solutions containing CaCl2 and CaCl2-NaOH-KOH electrolytes. These solutions are intended to simulate pore solutions in concretes leached by contact with saline groundwaters, in the absence of CO2. Results are dis¬cussed taking into account structural effects of ions in aqueous solutions and their influ¬ences on thermodynamic properties.
