Abstract: A research project on rheology, fiber dispersion, and mechanical properties of fiber-reinforced cementitious materials has been undertaken. This paper reports the results of the experimental program on rheology of fiber-reinforced mortars. The effect of fiber volume and surface area is discussed. A formula to calculate average thickness of matrix, which covers around a fiber, is proposed. A model, which relates rheological properties of the composites with the average thickness of matrix and values of matrix yield stress and viscosity, is also presented in this paper.
