Abstract:
Softening behavior of concrete is one of properties of the material. Assuming that the stress softening function is relative to the strain loading function and that stress softening is equal in all directions, a multiaxial elastic-plastic hardening-softening constitutive model of concrete is proposed in this paper. The model is combined with the elastic-plastic hardening-fracturing constitutive model of concrete and with the plastic fracturing theory of concrete. Two loading functions either in stress space or in strain space are not needed. Based on five-parameter power function failure criterion proposed by Zhenghai Guo , the spatial restoring forces of reinforced concrete members can be calculated. The comparison between experimental and analytical results shows that the proposed model is simple and rational.
