Abstract: 
The corrosion rate of reinforcement in concrete can be controlled by different factors under different environments. In present paper, the corrosion mechanisms of the rebar surface before and after depassiviation are analyzed. The corrosion processes of the reinforcing bar in concrete are completely explained with the polarization curve diagrams.
