To not cause additional damage is advisable the use of evaluation techniques with non destructive methods, like infrared (IR) thermography, and it is necessary to know the scope of the possibilities of in field application. This study focuses on the use of IR thermography to detect damage due to transport phenomena and the moisture turn up, locate interior reinforcements in the structures and detect renders and plasters adhesion loss damage and damage areas that do not appear visually. This study shows the preliminary analysis that are being carried out in different Spanish buildings of the Architectural Heritage [La Laguna Cathedral and Cabildo Insular de Tenerife (Canary Islands), the Cuartel del Regimiento de Pavía nº4 (Aranjuez, Madrid)].
