Abstract:
The influence on the mechanical properties was studied when adding fly ash, slag powder and expansion admixture into mortar and concrete. By X-Ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) analysis, the influence of these admixture and composite enhancement principle were investigated. On the foundation of these studies, new high performance composite cementious material is developed which has low hydration heat, high strength and good expansion ratio. The shrinkage crack can be effectively controlled and the durability of concrete can be improved by adding this high performance composite cementious material.
Key Words: fly ash, slag, expansion admixture, high performance composite cementious material, hydration heat, durability
