Abstract:
As fiber joining into concrete, the mechanical behavior of concrete will be changed. The calculating formulas of cracking load, ultimate load, and crack width given by general concrete code for common reinforced concrete beam are not hold properly. This paper studies the bending test on High Strength High Modulus Polyvinyl Alcohol Fiber (PVA) reinforced concrete beam. Based on the measured data and cracking behavior, study gives out a crack width formula of PVA fiber reinforced concrete beam, and brings forward some opinions on calculating crack width about this type of beam.
