Abstract:
This paper presents the properties and application of the High-Performance Rapid Repair Concrete(HPRRC).The HPRRC in our study was made up with 425# Portland cement(less than360kg/m3),crushed stones and Ultra-Pulverized Fuel Ash Composite Power (UPFAC),which replaced over 30% of cement .Assessments of HPRRC were based on workability ,compressive strength ,flexural strength and bond strength. The flexural strength of the HPRRC was more than 3.5MPa at 12hrs and 8.0MPa at the age of 28 days, meanwhile the compressive strength was more than 20.0MPa at 12hrs,and 60.0MPa at the age of 28 days. The HPRRC was then successfully applied to the concrete patching engineering on Yannan highway of Naihai city in Guangdong Province of China. This technique opened a new way in the rapid repair of cement concrete pavements of high-grade highway and urban highway. At the same time, it added a new path for the comprehensive utilization of fuel ash. The unit cost of UPFAC is RMB ?1000 to 1200 per ton, which is cheaper compared with other ways.
