Abstract:
The structural behavior of partially prestressed high-strength concrete continuous box girder is simulated by nonlinear finite element method. The constitutive behavior of the concrete is described by microplane theory. A four-node six-DOF degenerate shell element is adopted to simulate the structural behavior of box-section structure. To study the limit-state of the structure, the arc-length method is employed. Two test beams are analyzed, the numerical results are compared with test results, and some conclusions are drawn from the results.
