Abstract: The relationship between particle shape and fineness of fine aggregate and the pressure transferabuility of fresh mortar was experimentally obtained. Four types of fine aggregate with variety of fineness and shape were used for this research. It was confirmed that finer or shperical shape of fine aggregate particle can increase the pressure transferability. Solid volume was employed as the the index of the particle shape. Fineness Modulus was employed as the index for the fineness of the fine aggregate. A method by using the relationship between FM and solid volume of fine aggregate particles to obtain the same pressure transferability was proposed.
