Abstract: The fundamental study of how the particle shape of powder materials and dosage of admixture influence the rheological behavior of SCC paste is being carried out. The main functional requirements of fresh SCC are described by filling ability, passing ability and resistance to segregation, in which, the behavior of SCC governed by those mechanism are depended mainly on the basis of cement rheology. The study is focused primarily on the yield stress as well as the plastic viscosity of SCC paste incorporating with different types of powder material under a wide range of replacement levels. The optimum dosage of admixture giving adequate viscosity and yield stress to achieve successful SCC in accordance with Bingham Model is carefully determined.
