Abstract: This study presents experimental results of the behavior of ultra high performance precast PC segmental bridges, focusing on the response of dry joints (;epoxy joints) under shear, in service and ultimate limit states. Tests have been performed on ultra-high performance concrete segment with different levels of lateral compressive forces, evaluating the behavior of dry joints under direct shear. The possible benefit of using joint method is also evaluated, casting and testing wet joint type (; cast-in place joint) and dry joint types. The results obtained in these tests, as well as those found in the literature, have been compared with several design formulae for assessing the load-carrying capacity of epoxy interlocked joints without epoxy, identifying the formula that gives the best predictions.
