Abstract: In this study, to clarify the performance of HPFRCC as a repair material, the effects of cracks on the water permeability of several types of HPFRCC were investigated. A loading test and a corrosion proof test were carried out on RC beam specimens prepared such as to simulate patch repair with HPFRCC. The results of this study are summarized as follows: The permeability of HPFRCC is largely dependent on the number of cracks therein, and is considerably lower than that of NC and PCM even when the accumulative crack width of HPFRCC is larger than that of NC and PCM. A beam deteriorated by rebar corrosion can recover its strength by HPFRCC patching, if the amount of corrosion loss is within 10%. The HPFRCC-repaired part of an RC beam subjected to a bending load to a serviceability limit state showed superior corrosion proof performance.
