Abstract: This research work focused on the probability distribution of crack widths in order to characterize multiple fine cracks in SHCCs from microscopic investigations dumbbell-shaped specimens, reinforced concrete beam specimens, and hollow cylindrical specimens. This study showed that the distribution of crack widths conformed to lognormal distribution and Weibull analysis could estimate the maximum crack width of reinforced concrete beams.
Simulation of the cracking properties of reinforced concrete beam was found feasible by using the results of spirally reinforced hollow cylinders.
