Abstract: This paper analyses and explains the outcome of the R&D project "Subbase of road pavement using construction and demolition wastes", in development since the year 2007, conducted by the company Servià Cantó and the Universities Alfonso X El Sabio (UAX) and Politécnica de Cataluña (UPC).

This project is based on the study of the factors to consider for the design and construction of stabilised layers using soils and aggregates from recycled construction and demolition materials (C&D).

This paper describes the design, execution and control of the test section constructed during the project. This test section of soil-cement was made in the "C-35 Highway, Section: Vidreres - Llagostera, Girona” which has a length of about 200 meters, and was executed in 2008, with excellent results.

The dosage of cement used, based on the results of tests from lab, was 4.0%. Due to rain during the days of the execution of works, the humidity in the section have been around 12%, so it was decided to execute the test section by the dry method instead the wet method.
