Abstract:
The influences of the water-binder ratio, mineral admixture, air content and curing method on the resistance characteristic of concrete using for track slab have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry(CV).The results show that electrical resistivity of concrete increases as the water-binder ratio of concrete decreases. Mineral admixtures can enhance electrical resistivity of concrete significantly. When mineral admixtures dosage is in the range of 20%- 40% of the binder content ,the order of contribution rate to the electrical resistivity of concrete is silica powder>slag powder>fly ash. The effect of air content on electrical resistivity of concrete relates with the curing condition. The electrical resistivity of concrete reduces with the increase of air content under standard and water curing condition, however, the air content leads to increase in the electrical resistivity of concrete when cured under nature atmosphere condition.
