Abstract:
This paper presents the results of an experimental program undertaken to evaluate the effectiveness of Ultra High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC) to strengthen deficient tension lap splice. Local bond stress of reinforcing bars embedded in both plain and fibre reinforced concrete are considered. To evaluate the effect of the fibre concrete only, the splice region was free of any confinement. The research parameters were: splice length, repair depth and type of loading.
