Abstract:
In this study, the influence of volume contents of mesofibre and macrofibre on the tensile behaviour of ultra-high-performance hybrid fibre-reinforced cement-based composites (UHPHFRCC) was experimentally investigated. It was shown that the tensile behaviour of UHPHFRCC is dominantly affected by the volume content of macrofibre rather than that of mesofibre. However, it was also shown that mechanical performance such as tensile strength, tensile strain capacity (ductility) and energy absorption capacity are not simply affected by the volume content of the macrofibre; The balance of volume contents between mesofibre and macrofibre is very important to enhance the mechanical performance under tension.
