Abstract: Fatigue behaviour life of bituminous mixes is analysed using a specific two-points bending fatigue tests, modified to include rest periods. The response of the mix during fatigue and rest sequences is analysed and the parameters enabling to quantify the variation of stiffness with time (during rest) or loading (during fatigue) are defined and modelled. It is shown that the re-damaging rate after a rest period is a good indicator of non recoverable damage. Varying the experimental parameters that influence damage evolution, the respective weights of damage and healing are addressed.
