Abstract: Concrete specimens, made from the same concrete composition, have been exposed at twelve different marine submerged exposure locations around the world. The purpose of the study is to get a quantitative measure of how different environments influence the chloride ingress into concrete. The chloride ingress has been determined as chloride ingress profiles, by thorough profile grinding and laboratory analysis of chloride and binder content. The exposure conditions have been documented as the chemical composition and temperature of the seawater. In this paper a description of the project is given and some preliminary results are presented.
