Abstract: Durability parameters play important roles on durability design and life prediction for marine concrete structures. In order to analyze the influence of durability parameters on durability reliability, the reliability sensitivities of durability parameters are analyzed by probability sensitivity analysis (PSA) method in this paper. Traditional First-Order Second-Moment (FOSM) method and Monte Carlo (MC) method have been introduced firstly, and then the principle of Finite Volume Method (FVM) has been described. In PSA for marine concrete structures, FVM is used to calculate the chloride content in members of marine concrete structures, and then MC simulation and Difference method are used to simulate reliability sensitivities. The method can be called FVM-MC simulation method. Regarding one-dimensional chloride diffusion as the verification study object, the sensitivity analysis results of FVM-MC method are compared with the FOSM method. The results indicate that the FVM-MC method and Matlab procedures in this paper are accurate, and it is a new feasible simulation method for analyzing the reliability sensitivities of durability parameters for two-dimensional chloride diffusion question for marine concrete structures.
