Abstract: This paper aims to support the development of waste management strategies for Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) in the region located in the southern part of the Rhine Main area, also called Frankfurt/Rhine-Main (Germany), using MFA (Material Flow Analysis). To analyze the current situation of the study area, data about mass and energy flows of all processes from collection to recycling of CDW in the analyzed region. The material and energy flows of the current situation were presented in form of diagram and tables. Based on this situation, was developed a scenario with potentially resource-saving alternatives, mainly in relation to increase recycling rate and reduction of diesel consumption.
