Abstract: This paper presents the results of the examinations of the abrasive resistance of the eight types of high strength fibre-reinforced concrete (HSFRC) with compressive strength of 80-100MPa. There were two methods of designation of the abrasive resistance: ASTM C 944 and ASTM C 1138. The mixes contained two types of steel fibre: 30 and 50-mm length and aspect ratios of 60 and 50 and a polypropylene fibre as a reinforcement. All the mixes were made with Portland cement CEM I 42.5R, basalt aggregate with added superplasticizers and silica fume (w/cm ratio fixed at 0.25 to 0.27). There is a comparison of the results of these examinations with the results for two high strength concretes (HSC) without fibre reinforcement. The presented model of the kinetics of abrasive wear of HSFRC is compared to the according model made for ordinary concretes.
