Abstract: In this work an extension of the over-nonlocal microplane model M4 [1] which takes into account the presence of a low steel fiber content is presented. The effect of the fibers has been introduced in the local constitutive law, by adding stresses on the microplane level which reproduce the fiber effects over the considered plane in the material. As in the microplane model M4, all the inelastic behavior due to the fibers is characterized by the stress-strain boundaries. The proposed model has been implemented into an explicit finite element program and applied to the simulations of a recent experimental investigation on four-point-bending tests (performed at CTG-Italcementi Group [2]).
