Abstract: In this article, an attempt is made to model the behavior of FRC. The proposed model, based on continuum damage mechanic and on plasticity, does not use usual coupling between both phenomenon. On one hand, the behavior of the concrete matrix is supposed to be governed by a complete damage model taking into account inelastic strains and unilateral effect, on the other hand, the effect of the fibers and of the fibers-matrix interface is modeled by plasticity like model. Both models are coupled using the Voigt's approximation. The proposed model is implemented in finite element program EfiCoS and results of computations are compared to experiment results for FRC beams and piles subjected to cyclic loading.
