Abstract: Meiji University, Toa Road Co., Industrial Waste Disposition Co., Tone Boring Co., and Crystal Clay Co. formed Eco-Demolition Committee in May 2003 for the specific purpose stated in the title. This committee aims to develop a sustainable society by integrating sophisticated technologies and know-how that each member of EDC already has, such as LCA, disassembling, middle processing of waste treatment, soil investigation, and material recycling. This paper presents outline of EDC and a summary of researches on the amount of CO2 emission during a treatment process of construction and demolition waste at an intermediate waste treatment facility.
