Abstract: We prepared the self-compacting expensive C50 concrete that possesses good workability, high strength, high early strength and expansive properties. The self-strains of steel tube caused by the core concrete expansion and the maximum bearing capacity of the self-compacting expensive concrete filled steel tube were studied, and the results show that the core concrete is under three-dimensionally suppressed, and the bearing capacity is 7% more than that of ordinary concrete filled steel tube. The achievements in this paper have been applied in the real steel tube arch bridges, and the engineering effect is good.
