Abstract: In this study, a distraction model of aggregate skeleton for self-compacting concrete (SCC) based on the local raw materials was proposed. The mixing proportions of the SCCs were designed on the basis of paste coating thickness (HPCT) and mortar coating thickness (HMCT). The workability and rheological properties of the specimens were investigated by slump flow, U-box, V-funnel and rheometer, respectively. The results indicate that HPCT and HMCT have positive effect on the slump flow and V-funnel flowing time of SCC, and negative effect on T50 and filling height of U-box. The effects of rheological parameters (plastic viscosity and yield stress) on workability (slump flow, T50, U-box and V-funnel) were also obtained.
