Abstract: In this paper, recent advances in simulating internal relative humidity of concrete at earlyages will be presented. First, the determination of moisture diffusivity of concrete based on internal humidity measurements is developed. The effect of water to binder ratio on the diffusivity of concrete is discussed. Second, the surface factor, which is the principal boundary parameter in solving internal relative humidity field of concrete under environmental drying, will be calculated as well based on weight measurement on concrete samples. The effect of concrete strength and environmental conditions on the surface factor is discussed as well. Finally, examples on calculation of internal moisture field of concrete
structures are presented and the model results are discussed.
