Abstract: In order to study the shear failure mechanism of reactive powder concrete flexural members, the shear tests of 4 different stirrup ratios HRB400 stirrups RPC beams were carried out. Based on the softened truss theory, considering the shear-bearing capacity provided by the concrete on the top of the beam without cracking, the effect of bite force along the diagonal crack of
concrete aggregates, the stirrup and bridging effect of steel fiber, with introducing the softening coefficient of concrete strength, the shear capacity calculation formula were deduced through the stress balance equation, the deformation compatibility equation and the material constitutive equation. Then, the experimental values can agree well with the theoretical values
by comparing. So, it verifies that the softened truss theory calculation method is effective, which can be applied to analysis and design of reactive powder concrete flexural members.
