Size effect on the cubic compressive strength of reactive powder concrete

Abstract: An experimental investigation is reported into the size effect on the cubic compressive strength from 54 reactive powder concrete specimens under axial loading and with three different side lengths of 70.7mm, 100mm and 150mm. Three different strength grades of reactive powder concrete is included in those specimens. All tests are undertaken according to ASTM C 39/C 39M-2005. Based on the results obtained, a size effect law for different kinds of reactive powder concrete in cubic compressive strength is suggested and those relative parameters on the size effect are discussed.
