Abstract: This paper aims to show how to measure over time, viscosity and yield stress in Portland Cement Pastes doing flow tests with the use of rotational rheometer. The experiments were conducted on high resistance Portland cement pastes using the geometry of parallel plates. For the interpretation and treatment of the results, the TRIOS computer program, from TA Instruments, was used. The TRIOS software provides graphical data obtained from the tests and also a table with the measured data. The results show that the flow test is satisfactory for the determination of viscosity. To obtain yield stress however is recommended to use a rheological model, which in this work was used the Hershel-Bulkley model.
