Abstract: Typically, the bonded post-tensioned (PT) bridges are designed for a service life of more than 100 years. This can be achieved by filling the encasement duct with a highly flowable and stable cementitious grout. Even the smallest interstitial space between the strands will be filled if the grout has sufficiently low viscosity. Also, better bleed resistance reduces the void formation and thereby tendon corrosion. Although, many indigenous and commercially available prepackaged grouts are available nowadays, they do not have the needed flow and bleed characteristics. A high performance pre-packaged grout is developed using OPC replaced with two different kinds of Class F fly ash. The PCE based superplasticizer and cellulose based VMA were used in order to achieve better flow and bleed resistance. The flow cone time, pressure-induced bleed, rheological parameters, and hardened properties of the formulated grouts were evaluated. The formulated grouts have achieved very low bleed resistance and high fluidity.
