Abstract: The evolution of the BET-N2- specific surface area and pore volume of hydrated fly ash belite cement paste is presented in this work. The hydration was studied for a period of 180 days at the temperatures of 21ºC. The results showed quantitative correlations among microstructural features such as surface area and pore volume to two physical properties such as mechanical strength and hydration degree. What is useful for the prediction of performance and engineering of new materials such as the fly ash belite cement here studied.
