Abstract: A lot of concrete structures are needed to bare the combined action of fatigue load and environmental corrosion, which leads to the coupled damage in concrete or steel bars and results the degradation of structural resistance. There are mainly two existing experimental methods for the study of corrosion fatigue of concrete structures, one is two separated processes that primarily the corrosion is applied solely till the aim degree and then the rapid fatigue is applied, another is the synchronous rapid accelerating process of corroding and fatiguing. Obviously both the two methods can’t simulate the slow damage process resulted by the long term coupled action of corrosion and fatigue in actual engineering. So a new method for experimental simulation of corrosion fatigue effect of concrete structures is provided in this paper, which is made an attempt to simulate the long term coupled damage of corrosion and fatigue to a certain extent. The simulation of long term fatigue action is the key issue that the stability of fatigue action and the efficiency of test need considering emphatically, which is solved successfully and confirmed by some tests in this paper too.
