Abstract: A hybrid ultra-high performance engineered cementitious composites (HUHP-ECC) with
steel (ST)and polyethylene (PE) fibers was developed in present study. The volumes of ST
and PE fiber were adjusted to obtain the different mechanical properties, including the
compressive strength and tensile properties. It is found that the tensile strength increased with
the amount of PE fiber , while the compressive strength had the opposite tendency with the
two fibers volumes. The flowablity of HUHP-ECC was improved with the increasing amount
of ST fiber. Finally, the morphology of PE and steel fiber at fracture surface was observed by
environmental Scanning electron microscope(ESEM).
