Abstract: Ultra-high performance concretes (UHPC) were developed principally by the strategy of
maximizing the packing and ensuring distributed size distribution of the particulate matter
achieving ultra-high strength levels and desired fresh mix workability using locally available
materials. Over the past years, many working in this field have developed up to a level where
they are ready for application and with compressive strengths from about 150 to 300 N/mm2.
To achieve an optimum packing density the processing of ultrafine or nanometer scaled
materials required accordingly new way and equipment which are different from the normal
used procedures in concrete productions. This paper discusses the UHPC-making procedures,
and then detailed in processing equipment of dosing and weighing, dispersing/coating and
mixing of ultrafine particulate components according to experimental tests. A new developed
concept for dry mixed UHPC production based on modular system is provided. The whole
production lines are designed in predefined modules and optimized for the transportation and
assembly on site. At the end it shows a practical application in the mineral casting for tool
machine beds.
