Abstract: The shear tests of 7 high strength reinforced reactive powder concrete beams with shear
span ratio, longitudinal reinforcement ratio and hoop ratio were carried out, and the measured
shear capacity of 7 high strength reinforced reactive powder concrete beams was obtained.
Based on the plastic theory, the suggested formula for shear bearing capacity of high strength
reinforced reactive powder concrete beams is established, and the applicability of the
suggested formula to the shear bearing capacity of RPC beams with high strength
reinforcement is analyzed. The results show that the suggested formula based on plastic
theory can predict the shear bearing capacity of shear span ratio, longitudinal reinforcement
ratio and hoop ratio, and the dispersion of suggested formula is small, but it should be further
improved for the calculation of bearing capacity of longitudinal reinforcement ratio and hoop
ratio.
