Abstract: This paper presents the study of flexural behavior of UHPFRC post-tensioned composite
50 m box girder. The UHPFRC 50 m post-tensioned composite box girder has 1.5% steel
fiber of volume fraction. The flexural behavior test carried out on UHPFRC post-tensioned
composite box girder which has 135 MPa compressive strength and 50 m length. The post-
tensioned UHPFRC composite girder consisted of three segments of UHPFRC U-girder,
UHPFRC deck plate and High Strength Concrete reinforced slab. Prestress tendons were
included in upper and lower flange. The feature of UHPFRC composite box girder which has
been designed no reinforcement bars in mid section of girder. Only two edge segments had
been reinforced at edge section for protecting and anchorage tendons along 2 m length.
During the test the acquisition of measurement data was conducted on load-deflection
response, longitudinal strain profile of concrete, digital image correlation investigation at mid
span of girder and smart tendon investigation. The flexural test was carried out when load was
reached at 5000 KN. Until 5000 KN load level, the UHPFRC composite box girder did not
show ultimate failure status. The load capacity of experimental result was compared to load
capacities which were calculated by analytically at SLS and ULS. The experimental result
have shown good flexural behavior and ductility.
