Abstract: This paper focuses on the potential of green roofs in stormwater management. Through their water retention capacity and to the evapotranspiration phenomena, green roofs are capable of improving urban drainage by reducing stormwater runoff. In this work, a green roof model able to simulate the complex hygrothermal behavior of green roofs, including coupled mechanisms of heat and mass transfer, is used to simulate the hydrological performance of non-tilted green roofs.
