Abstract: This research shows results of development and evaluation a microorganism-based admixture (MBA) for Cuban construction industry. This is produced from a fermentative process with wastes of different industries, through efficient microorganisms technology. Its chemical-physical, microbiological properties were determined using proceedings used for chemical admixtures and others utilized in similar samples. Besides, the experimental program included assessing rheology and physical-mechanical properties in pastes, mortars and concrete as well as, its effect on Portland cement hydration kinetics. As results, its chemical composition is complex and not have been identified yet, all metabolites responsible of its properties in materials cementitious based in Portland cement. Likewise, acetic and lactic acids have been identified in its composition as majority components. This bioproduct has dispersant properties on cement particles, reducing water content and, contributes to increasing compressive strength mortars and concretes. Also, when it is combined with polyacrylate based superplasticizer (PBSP), apparently it acts as a Viscosity Modifying Agent (VMA) with impact on water retention and flow control of the mix; where segregation and bleeding cases are not found. This green product has applicated successfully in the construction of several hotels in "Santa María" keys, Cuba, contributing at the local development of several places.
