Abstract: This research discusses the potential ASR problem for waste TFT glass as concrete aggregate. Using ASTM methods assess the ASR reactivity of TFT glass, analyze pessimum effects, and discuss the inhibiting effect for pozzolanic material on ASR problem of TFT glass. Results show that TFT glass has ASR reactivity. The pessimum content of TFT glass is 1.5– 2.0%. TFT glass has not the pessimum size and the pessimum replaced proportion. Using low-alkali cement can inhibit the ASR expansion of TFT glass. The harmful ASR expansion of TFT glass can be inhibited effectively when using fly ash replaces cement of 15% by weight, or using the blast furnace slag of 60% by weight.
