Abstract: The use of biobased building materials is an important factor in our modern Built Environment, particularly in meeting global environmental challenges linked to continued urbanization. This increase in use comes at a time when performance expectations continue to rise. This paper will review some of the activities from a recently completed COST Action, FP1303 “Performance of Biobased Building Materials”, with particular emphasis on moisture performance.
