Abstract: Up to the present, there is no model available describing the complex load bearing behavior of textile reinforced disks in an arbitrary plane stress state. Common 2D-models for steel reinforced concrete cannot be applied, because there are several characteristic effects occuring when a textile reinforcement is used. Based on experimental data and on theoretical considerations, these effects are discussed in this paper. Thereby, special loading cases are analyzed rather than aiming at a general solution of the problem.
