Abstract: This recently approved document from ACI International will be discussed. The document provides guidance on the typical properties and selection of hydraulic cement-, polymer-cement-, and polymer-based materials for the repair of concrete. Information for making an informed material selection based on the relative importance of physical properties for specific applications and service conditions will be presented. Topics covered include the applicable test methods for materials to determine these properties, interpretation of the results, and suggested performance levels of repair materials for various conditions and repair objectives. Issues and concerns from the Material Selection Guide that face the concrete repair industry will also be addressed.
