Abstract:
It is possible to substantially improve the load-bearing behaviour of textile-reinforced concrete by using liquid polymers for impregnation of the textiles. For the work referred to in this paper, the influence of epoxy impregnation on the load-bearing behaviour of alkaliresistant glass-fibre textiles has been tested by means of tensile and bending tests. The main influential factors on the observed load bearing and failure behaviour have, moreover, been identified and evaluated by means of mechanical tests on filament and bond tests on the roving.
