Abstract:
The behaviour of Ultra High Performance Fibre Reinforced Cementitious Composites (UHPFRCC) was monitored during setting and hardening by means of ultrasound. Advanced ultrasonic testing equipment can be used to study the effect of different UHPFRCC mixes or the influence of additives and fiber content. Different physical quantities are obtained during the stiffening process including velocity, energy and frequency development as well as the temperature evolution. A combined analysis of these quantities can help to control the quality of UHPFRCC mixes.
